The Swiss Coordination Unit for Cybercrime Control (CYCO) is the central office where persons can report suspect Internet subject matter including:

  • hardcore pornography (sexual acts with children, animals, human excrement
    or acts of violence)
  • Depiction of violence
  • Extremism
  • Racism
  • Unlawful entry into IT systems
  • Spreading of computer viruses
  • Destruction of data
  • Creditcard misuse
  • Violation of copyrights
  • Illegal arms trade

After an initial examination of the report and safeguarding of data the report is forwarded
to the respective prosecution authorities at home and abroad. CYCOS also keeps a regular look out for criminal subject matter on the Internet and is responsible for in-depth analysis of cybercrime.
